Relax, Tumblr, old buddy! I’m doing a 30-day challenge, because I can never remember to blog anything, and hopefully this gets me in the habit. And I bloody love taking about myself.

Okay, I played incredibly poorly here and my recording got a bit choppy for some reason, and my “chord hold” button was off, but point made! Omnichord + pedals = my new favorite thing.
Have I ever told you how much I love The Feelies? They’re like what would happen if Joy Division got together with the Modern Lovers (with Jonathan Richman on vocals) and had an awesome baby.
This was fun to do. More about me than you ever actually wanted to know!
Ah, The Auteurs. Everyone has a slightly destructive depresso album, right? After Murder Park is mine. Which is a bit of a shame, because it’s such a brilliant album. What’s yours?
I fully realize I have no Internet clout whatsoever, but you should probably buy this album. Link leads to my review.
Diefenbaker paintings. Kind of conceptual, wanted to do abstracts with a hand cut block print in the middle. Not sure anyone would ever want to buy them, but even if they don’t, I was considering making a mass of them and assembling them into an album cover. Either way, I love painting, so there’s that too. Sorry for the crappy photo, no matter how I stood I couldn’t get my shadow out of the picture and I was too lazy to get a lamp from another room.
This is *sort of* like the Hammond Condor RSM unit I forgot I had and found while cleaning up my office yesterday. The Hammond Condor is much nicer - it basically adds extra synth footages, fuzz, tremolo and vibrato to any monophonic sound source. It was originally designed for saxophone, clarinet, and other reed-based instruments. It has a date with the ARP Omni tonight. It’s going to be magical.
